New Law A Boost To Texas Horse Industry

From:

America’s Horse, June 30, 2009 – All American Quarter Horses, American Paint Horses and Appaloosas conceived by mares and stallions living in Texas during 2009 are eligible to be nominated to the new Texas Equine Incentive Fund. House Bill 1881, which was signed by Gov. Rick Perry on June 19, becomes law September 1.

The bill creates a voluntary monetary incentive program to keep Quarter, Paint and Appaloosa horses breeding, showing or racing in Texas. Continue reading →

Store Opens In Pilot Point

Dennards is now open in Pilot Point.

According to published ads the store will offer furniture, tack, Western wear, gifts, horseshoe supplies, horse blankets, feed & shavings (which will be delivered from the Whitesboro store).

After visiting the store this reporter can relay that, in addition to the aforementioned merchandise, Dennards offers a large range of horse supplies, de-wormers, cowboy boots & misc items essential for the horse industry professional and participant!

Congratulations to Dennards – they now have three locations serving the North Texas Area – Pilot Point, Whitesboro and Sherman.
